The computer maker Apple said Monday that he had passed on Friday a million copies sold of its new tablet computer IPAD, noting that these sales were more than twice launch of iPhone in 2007.

"A million iPads in 28 days, less than half of the 74 days he had taken to overcome the ceiling with the iPhone," said Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in a statement. "Demand continues to exceed supply," said Jobs.

The IPAD is sold exclusively in the U.S. since April 3. Since Friday, Americans may find the second version, connect to the Internet not only wirelessly but also via the 3G telephone networks.

Apple said that users of IPAD had fallen more than twelve million applications and over one million eBooks iBookstore its virtual library.
